Damian Showyin at Underbelly Arts Festival
06 October 2017

Studio A artist Damian Showyin was featured in the Underbelly Arts Festival 2017, a vibrant two-day celebration of contemporary Australian art in all its diverse forms. Known for its boundary-pushing and experimental approach, the festival provided Damian with the perfect platform to showcase his dynamic and emotive large-scale paintings.

Joining forces with guest artists Paul Williams, Peter Dudding, and Jeanette Scanes, Damian contributed to a series of large-scale collaborative works that captivated festival audiences, characterised by bold colours and expressive brushstrokes.

Reflecting on his experience, Damian shared, “I loved showing my paintings [at the Underbelly Arts Festival 2015]. People said that my paintings look nice and that I’m a good painter. That made me feel good.”
