Studio A artists have used their creative skills to produce new resources relevant to the school syllabus for teachers within the education system. These resources challenge limiting perceptions of people with intellectual disability and position our artists as creative leaders.
Our artists have produced a series of artmaking tutorial videos for students. Through these fun and engaging video workshops students will have the opportunity to meet our artists, view their artmaking processes and follow along with the instructions to produce their own artwork.
Studio A is a Sydney based social enterprise and arts company that makes great art and tackles the barriers artists with intellectual disability face in accessing conventional education, professional development pathways and opportunities needed to be successful and renowned visual artists.
Studio A is driven to ensure artists with intellectual disability have a voice in contemporary Australian culture and to provide employment to their artists through sustainable creative industry careers. The studio creates pathways for talented artists to achieve their artistic and economic aspirations, fostering a more inclusive and diverse arts culture.
