Interested in joining Studio A?
At Studio A, we are beyond excited by the interest in our supported studio and professional development program. We believe in nurturing the artistic talents of individuals with intellectual disability to create a more inclusive artistic community. While we would love to welcome every aspiring artist, our capacity is limited and we must be transparent about our current limitations.
Due to the high demand and the nature of our program, new openings are infrequent. Please understand that joining our waitlist does not guarantee immediate opportunity or entry into Studio A.

Application process
- Join our waitlist here. Be sure to include an appropriate email that you can be reached at.
- When a position in the program does become available, there will be a general callout and artists on our waitlist will be invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) that includes a portfolio of work and addresses the criteria below.
- An established portfolio of artwork demonstrating a sustained and excellent art practice.
- A capacity to work professionally in a studio environment.
- A commitment to your art practice and career.
- An appropriate support network to sustain participation in Studio A. - Applications will be carefully considered by a panel including our CEO, Principal Artist and other professional creatives to ensure the best fit for our program.
