Night Blossom at Grafton Regional Gallery

After its winning revival in Lake Macquarie, Catherine McGuiness' Night Blossom continues on the next leg of its regional tour. This time, at Grafton Regional Gallery.

Catherine's debut solo exhibition was originally curated by Shan Turner-Carroll for Mosman Art Gallery in 2024, with vibrant paintings, carefully crafted works on paper, and a stunning table setting created with support from Mud Australia, Kil.n.it Ceramics Studio and Digital Fabrics. The exhibition is a showcase of Catherine's enthusiastic energy, and the magic that echoes from her work as a result.

You can imagine exactly what she looks like when she is painting. Her body’s movements and gestures caught in time, mimicked in the robust marks of the paintings.
